# Privacy and Google Play Compliance

Digital Chaukidar processes location, device telemetry, incident media, SIM metadata, and notification tokens only for user-enabled security features.

## Required disclosures

- Explain why foreground and background location are needed before the Android permission prompt.
- Display an ongoing notification while foreground tracking or monitoring is active.
- Allow tracking, media capture, and monitoring to be stopped from inside the app.
- Request camera and microphone access only when the related feature is enabled.
- Provide account deletion, retention, and privacy-policy links.
- Complete Play Console Data Safety and background-location declarations before release.

## Unsupported consumer-device behavior

The app must not intercept PINs/passwords, bypass the lock screen, block shutdown, silently enable system settings, misuse accessibility services, or conceal recording. Device-owner policies must be shown only for managed enterprise devices.
